• With premium hosting, access to additional features and software tailored to your needs such as databases, admin consoles, custom scripting, password protected directories, on-line ordering, eCommerce. (Implementation of additional features and functionality is normally an additional development and/or hosting cost.)
• Assistance and guidance with domain name registrations or transfer (please, let us do it for you) and DNS.
• A link from our website for search utility indexing.
• Personal service during business hours, emergency tech support.

Current Options

• Basic or WordPress hosting on Siteground. Our platform includes the highest tier of resources and priority support.
• WP Engine performance hosting, on a shared network (multi-site, similar to being on WordPress.com). Cost savings (see “Basic WordPress” options below), great performance, vetted plug-ins, site not as easily transferable as if stand-alone, no FTP access. Great for the small business that can update their site and would have us make improvements and manage functionality.
• WP Engine performance hosting, stand-alone installation. Premium cost, great performance, full access to plug-ins, SFTP access as needed. Great for the business with WordPress development experience and/or more flexible functionality needs.

Pricing Levels (invoiced quarterly or yearly):

• Basic, $150 per year: hosting, no domain email (email provided elsewhere)
• Basic with email, $222 per year: hosting, domain email and/or aliases
• Basic WordPress, $180 per year: hosting, no domain email
• Basic WordPress with email, $252 per year: hosting, domain email and/or aliases
• Premium, $105 per quarter or $420 per year: moderate bandwidth usage, domain email added as needed per below
• DNS and domain email aliases (or one account), $110 per year (website hosted elsewhere)
• Domain email accounts, $72 per year each: webmail, spam filtering, unlimited aliases (within reason)
• Domain email aliases unlimited (within reason), $72 per year, spam filtering

Development rates apply and third party service rates if applicable.
Set-up, $40 to $160.

Non-Profit Website Hosting

Mad River Web and Mad River Consulting are committed to supporting the Mad River Valley and Vermont. We will consider providing non-profit organizations that serve the community either free or half-price hosting with a link to our website (setup fee may apply).

Set-up, includes the following as necessary, $40 to $160

• Retrieval (from current server, if FTP info available, or with migration plugin) and upload of your existing website to server.
• Email alias mapping.
• Registration/transfer of domain name(s) at current pricing (one year added to transferred registrations) using our choice of registry. NOTE: Domains ending in other than “.com” (TLD) may cost more from registry and will be priced accordingly. For example, “.org” and “.net” domains are slightly higher price.
• SSL cert(s), included on all websites.

What you don’t get:

• Unwanted ads on your website.
• A website control panel or user interface where you have to struggle through your own administration (unless you prefer to).
• A faceless support or administrative staff with no personal relationship to your account, incorrect and impossible-to-correct issues with your account.
• Expired domain names, unexpected website disappearance (if we are the administrative contact for your domain).

Limited services (if you need to discontinue your website temporarily or permanently):

• Domain email account(s) or alias(es), pricing TBD
• Domain name parking or forwarding
